Hyderabad, Mar 18 (Maxim News): Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao invited BRS MLA and former minister K.Tarak Rama Rao (KTR) to attend the inauguration of the newly built TG Oilfed oil palm factory. He personally met KTR in the chamber of Opposition leader K. Chandrashekar Rao in the Assembly and handed over the invitation.
The government will inaugurate the oil palm factory on March 22 at Narmet in Siddipet district. The Telangana Oilfed constructed this facility. The project covers 62 acres. The government spent about Rs.300 crore on the plant.
The factory uses modern technology. It will not only produce crude oil but also refine it at the same location. Therefore, the company can send the final refined palm oil directly to the market. The plant will extract crude oil from oil palm fruit pulp. Later, it will refine and pack the palm oil for sale.
The company also built a water storage tank with a capacity of 10 crore litres. In addition, the plant will generate electricity using biomass waste from oil palm bunches. The unit has a 4-megawatt self power generation facility. As a result, the company expects to reduce power costs, with production estimated at about Rs.1.50 per unit.
The factory also includes a water treatment plant. This system will recycle used water. Initially, the plant can crush 30 tonnes of oil palm bunches per hour. However, officials designed the facility to expand capacity. Later, it can increase crushing capacity to 120 tonnes per hour as supply grows.
Officials said this is the first factory in the country built with a crushing capacity of 120 tonnes per hour. The project is expected to strengthen palm oil processing in Telangana. (Maxim News)
