Hyderabad, August 27: Kavitha, former MP and BRS leader, made sharp remarks about her brother KTR on Raksha Bandhan on Thursday.
She said he was not available to her on the festival day. Furthermore, she said he had left the country entirely this time. She expressed deep hurt over not being able to tie a rakhi to her brother.
According to Kavitha, KTR was absent from Hyderabad during last year’s Raksha Bandhan too.
However, this year he went abroad during the festival. She said this hurt her personally. Moreover, she made these remarks while speaking to the media on the occasion of the festival.
Additionally, Kavitha said she too has self-respect. She said his behaviour has hurt her greatly.
She stressed that Raksha Bandhan is a sacred bond of blood. It must not be mixed with politics, she said. Furthermore, she made her position clear in simple terms.
“Rakhi is about family. It is not about politics,” she stated.
