NCC “Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat” Camp concludes

Secunderabad, 30 Oct 2023: Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat (EBSB) Camp – I, conducted at Vardhaman Engineering College, Shamshabad by NCC Group, Secunderabad under the aegis of NCC Directorate AP and Telangana from 21 Oct 2023 had successfully come to a close.

600 cadets from the states of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh and Telangana have participated in the camp.

EBSB camp aims to enhance interaction & promote mutual understanding between people of different states/UTs through the concept of state/UT pairing. Accordingly, the cadets carried out activities to promote a cultural connect in the areas of language learning, culture, traditions & music, tourism & cuisine, sports and sharing of best practices, etc. It is heartening to see that by the end of the camp, Telangana cadets are greeting their friends with ‘Sat Sri Akal’ andPunjab cadets are greeting with the terms ‘Namaste, Bagunnara’. The menu of the camp incorporated foods from Telangana cuisine as well as Punjabi, Haryanvi and Himachali cuisines.

In addition to the cultural exchange events the cadets have been trained in military and job proficiency training, attended guest lectures by eminent military and civil speakers, and have been exposed to basics of self-defense, focusing on comprehensive all-round development of the cadets.

Various Inter Directorate and Inter Group competitions were also conducted during the camp. Marking the successful culmination of the camp, the cadets have presented an exceptional cultural program representing the art forms of all the participating states. Col Sanjay Sayal, Group Commander, NCC Group Secunderabad gave away the prizes to the winners of the competitions and addressed the eager gathering of the cadets. He thanked Camp Commandant Col Piyush Srivastava, Deputy Camp Commandant Lt Col S Magendran and other staff of the camp. He also thanked Dr JVR Ravindra, Principal of Vardhaman Engineering College for sparing their well-equipped buildings and infrastructure for the conduct of the camp.
