Roll-out ceremony of the CCPT held at Ordnance Factory Medak

Secunderabad, 30 Oct 2023: A roll-out ceremony of the Carrier Command Post Tracked (CCPT) was held in Ordnance Factory Medak (OFMK), Yeddumailaram, Sanga Reddy District, Telangana on 30th October 2023.

Welcome address was delivered by Shri. Sarjith Reddy, Jt GM/OFMK, and the following dignitaries were invited on the stage, Shri. K. Sudhakar, Chief General Manager, Ordnance Factory Medak, Shri. J Rajesh Kumar, Outstanding Scientist & Director, CVRDE, DRDO, Shri. S. S. Prasad, General Manager, Ordnance Factory Medak, Shri. Rajendra Aiwale, General Manager, Bharat Electronics Limited, Begaluru, Brig. Rajiv Chauhan, Commandant & CEI, Arty Centre Hyderabad, Col. J.A. Vora, Jt. Controller CQA(ICV) and were welcomed with a bouquet. The program begins with playing of National Anthem and lighting of the lamp.

The attendees were briefed about the project CCPT followed by opening address by Shri. B. N. Ratna Prasad, General Manager, Ordnance Factory Medak.

Special address by Guests of Honour Brig. Rajiv Chauhan, Shri. J. Rajesh Kumar and Shri. Rajendra Aiwale and the keynote address was delivered by Shri. K. Sudhakar, Chief General Manager, OFMK.

Roll-out ceremony of the CCPT held at Ordnance Factory Medak

Shri. K. Sudhakar, CGM/OFMK described the role of CCPT as a ‘designed and developed for accomplishing all tactical/technical fire control functions to achieve effective deployment of self-propelled artillery guns’. He further stated the equipments/special features of CCPT as i3CAT (Integrated command control communication system), GPS, DCH system, Enhanced Tactical Computing System, Star V communication system, field telephones etc. The AVNL CMD’s address was delivered by Shri. S. S. Prasad. The CMD expressed his gratitude and appreciation to each and every member of the team for unwavering commitment and exceptional teamwork.

At the last, the CCPT was then rolled out by flagging off by Shri. K. Sudhakar, CGM/OFMK and formally handed over to the Indian Army in the presence of senior officers from DG Artillery, DRDO, DGQA and BEL.
