SIR | Bengaluru, Oct. 8: CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke on Thursday accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of “murdering democracy and vote theft” over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
Dipke made the remarks while addressing a protest organised by the Cockroach Janta Party and civil society groups at Bengaluru’s Freedom Park. The protest focused on alleged voter deletions under the SIR exercise.
He alleged that the deletion of voters was aimed at disenfranchising people opposed to the BJP. Dipke also accused the Prime Minister and the Election Commission of undermining democratic processes.

Dipke said the protests would continue until Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar resigns.
“We will hit the streets, reclaim democracy and continue agitation till the CEC resigns,” he said.

The Bengaluru protest included a “people’s tribunal” on alleged discrepancies in voter rolls. CJP and participating groups have demanded action over alleged wrongful voter deletions and changes to the electoral revision process.
The Election Commission has rejected suggestions of internal divisions and maintained that decisions related to the SIR were taken unanimously.
