New Industrial Corridor Between HYD-Vijayawada To Be Approved
Delhi/Hyderabad, Jan 14 (Maxim News): On the appeal made by the Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti vikramarka to the Union Minister of Commerce, Industries, Textiles, Food and Public distribution Affairs Piyush goyal to approve the establishment of a new industrial corridor between Hyderabad-Vijayawada (via Miryalaguda). Keeping in mind the agricultural and industrial important of the area, they asked to wave the green flag
In the meeting held with the Union Minister on Saturday evening, the Chief Minister and his deputy discussed many problems related to the state. Piyush Goyal responded positively to Revanth-s request to release the funds due for central government schemes and contribute to the development of Telangana.
The Union Minister congratulated Revanth and Bhatti who took up the new duties. Piyush welcomed the Chief Minister’s proposal to set up a mega leather park in Telangana. It is a good proposal and the central officials who participated in the meeting were advised to consider this matter. The minister als expressed his positive attitude towards the request to set up an affiliated center of the Indian Institute of Handloom Technology in the state.
Central industrial Joint Secretary Balaji, Central Textiles Additional Secretary Rohit Kansal, State Textiles and Handlooms Director Alugu Varshini, TSIIC CEO madhusudan, Delhi Telangana Bhavan OSD Sanjay Jaju, Resident Commissioner Gaurav Uppal and other participated in the meeting.
Revanth requested the Union Minister to consider their demands such as Final approvals should be granted for Hyderabad-nagpur Industrial Corridor. As a result, Rs. 2300 crores will be released to the state.
The previous government proposed pharma city as a priority in the Hyderabad-Warangal industrial corridor. Now it should be withdrawn and fresh proposals should be allowed.
The Previous UPA government had granted a National institute of Design (NID0 to Hyderabad. The then Union commerce Minister Anand sharma also laid the foundation stone. After the bifurcation of the state NID was moved to vijayawada. In this context, a new NID should be granted to Telangana.
In the common state, the Central government has sanctioned a mega leather park in Nellore district. In this context of bifurcation of the state, if the Center grants Mega Leather Park to Telangana, we will allocate the necessary land in Karimnagar and Jangaon districts.
The Central government has given brownfield status to Mega Textile Park in Warangal as part of the PM Mitra Scheme, it should be given greenfield status. If this is changed, the park will get additional funds of Rs. 300 crores in the form of grants.
As Telangana has already expressed readiness to set up testing centers for technical textiles (bulletproof jackets. conveyor belts, air bags etc.) the state should be granted a technical textile center of excellence.
A National Handloom Technology Center (Indian Institute of handloom Technology – IIHT) should be granted to Telangana. As there are seven handloom clusters in the state, the grant of IIHT will enable the weavers to adopt modern technology and increase their income. (Maxim News)
