NHRC Asks KCR Govt To Reply By Nov. 28 On RTC Strike: CPI

Hyderabad, Nov.20 (Maxim News): NHRC today issued notices to Telangana government to submit details on RTC strike by November 28. The Commission directed the State government to produce all details pertaining to the RTC strike.

It asked Chief Secretary SK Joshi to produce all details in RTC strike in the State. CPI Secretary Dr K Narayana said the NHRC sought Government’s reply on the issue followed by his complaint last month. He complained that several RTC employees have committed suicides and some lost lives due to fear of losing jobs. The RTC employees’ suicides are in violation of human rights, he said and expressed his displeasure that the State government removed 48,000 employees for going on indefinite strike. He demanded that the State government take the striking employees back on duties. (Maxim News)
