Nizamabad Municipal Corporation | Hyderabad, Sept. 21 (Maxim News): Two employees of the Nizamabad Municipal Corporation were caught by Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials while allegedly accepting a ₹15,000 bribe on Monday.
The accused were identified as Palda Ashok, a Junior Assistant in the Establishment Section, and Kalakuntla Kiran Kumar, an outsourcing employee in the Audit Section of the municipal corporation.
According to the ACB, the two allegedly demanded ₹15,000 from a complainant for preparing increment proceedings and making necessary entries in the complainant’s mother’s service book for sanctioning her monthly pension.
The ACB said its Nizamabad Range officials caught the two red-handed at Padmashali Sangam in Seetharamnagar Colony, near Raja Rajendra Chowrasta, in Nizamabad town, at around 11.18 am on September 21.

The ACB said Ashok and Kiran Kumar accepted the alleged undue advantage while performing their official duties. Their actions were described by the agency as dishonest and improper.
The identity of the complainant has been withheld for security reasons.
The two accused were arrested and are being produced before the II Additional Special Judge for Trial of SPE and ACB Cases Court at Nampally, Hyderabad. The case is under investigation.
The ACB has urged citizens to report demands for bribes by public servants through its toll-free number 1064. The agency said complainants’ identities would be kept confidential. (Maxim News)
