Kamareddy, July 15 (Maxim News): Telangana’s In-charge Minister Dansari Anasuya (Seethakka) and Government Advisor Mohammed Ali Shabbir on Tuesday conducted a high-level review meeting at the Kamareddy District Collectorate, emphasizing the need for speed and accountability in implementing key development projects across the district.

The meeting focused on multiple welfare and infrastructure sectors, including health services, housing, agriculture, water supply, land records (Bhu Bharati), women and child welfare, sanitation, and environmental initiatives under the Vana Mahotsavam.

Shabbir Ali Calls for Urgent Health Precautions

Highlighting the onset of monsoon-related diseases like dengue and viral fevers, Shabbir Ali directed officials to conduct immediate fumigation, water tank purification, and drainage clearance. He insisted that health camps must be promptly established in affected areas and public awareness campaigns intensified to prevent outbreaks.

He warned that negligence by the health and municipal departments in addressing these seasonal threats could result in severe consequences, urging strict vigilance and swift action.

Seethakka: ‘No Tolerance for Delays’ in Development Works

Minister Seethakka expressed strong disapproval of continued delays in infrastructure projects despite funds being sanctioned more than six months ago. She warned officials of disciplinary action if deadlines are not met, stressing that every department must adhere to strict timelines.

She ordered the speedy completion of sanitation works, AMRUT-1 and 2 schemes, road repairs, drainage systems, and Godavari drinking water supply projects. Reviewing the Indiramma housing scheme, Seethakka also emphasized transparent and fair distribution of free sand to beneficiaries.

Additionally, she announced plans to construct new Anganwadi buildings, reiterating the Congress government’s focus on women and child welfare.

Assurance on Seeds, Fertilizers for Farmers

Addressing concerns in the agriculture sector, Seethakka assured that the government was committed to ensuring timely availability of seeds and fertilizers, particularly during the sowing season. She urged agriculture officials to stay proactive and avoid any disruption in supply chains.

Push for Environmental Sustainability Through Vana Mahotsavam

The meeting also highlighted the government’s efforts to promote environmental sustainability. Seethakka directed officials to actively support large-scale plantation drives under the Vana Mahotsavam, part of the state’s mission to boost green cover in rural and urban areas.

Accountability Demanded from Departments

The minister asked all departments to submit detailed status reports on sanctioned projects, tenders, fund utilization, and pending bills. She made it clear that no work should be stalled due to bureaucratic hurdles, and held department heads personally accountable for progress.

Senior Leaders, Officials Attend the Meeting

The review meeting was attended by Zaheerabad MP Suresh Shetkar, MLAs Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, Madan Mohan Rao, and Lakshmi Kantha Rao, along with Women and Child Welfare Secretary Anita Ramachandran, Panchayat Raj ENC Kanaka Ratnam, District Collector Ashish Sangwan, Superintendent of Police Rajesh Chandra, and other senior officers.

Vana Mahotsavam Launched at Minority Girls’ School in Kamareddy

Following the review meeting, Minister Seethakka and Shabbir Ali participated in the district-level Vana Mahotsavam celebrations at the Telangana Minority Residential School for Girls in Kamareddy. They planted saplings on the school campus, officially launching the plantation drive.

Describing it as a flagship green initiative, the leaders said that the Congress government is committed to rebuilding Telangana’s ecological balance. This year’s drive, they noted, is being conducted on an unprecedented scale to protect the environment and foster a culture of sustainability.

Local officials, students, party workers, and residents actively took part in the event.
