No Lockdown In Telangana: CS
Hyderabad, May 5 (Maxim News): Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar today said that there is no need of imposing Lockdown in Telangana as the corona cases are complete control and declining. In a press conference from Secretariat at BRKR Bhavan he with officials he stated that the corona situation is under complete control in the state. The chief secretary denied to impose the lockdown as the high court instructed to look into it if necessary to check corona virus cases.
He reasoned the cause of the problem and panic as the people fearing and rushing to the hospitals besides procuring Remdesivir injections and taking the jabs unnecessarily. He said that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has recovered and will address people and take stock of the situation. KCR, he said, has instructed to procure more facilities by spending adequate funds and 14 more set up RTPCR labs. We will set up 14 such labs in addition to existing 17 labs in the districts.
He said that recovery and fatalities are on significant decline in the state and cases will soon come down as the state is to see normalcy. Though corona spread sees a slight rise this month the cases will come down in June as the people should maintain restraint and follow protocols.
He said that they procured 6 metric tons of oxygen while the Centre gives 4 MT Oxygen and the state has 52000 oxygen beds and added that the Private hospitals are allowed to procure injections and oxygen now as per government norms. The situation will soon come down to normalcy and there is no need of panicky among people. Despite we provide all facilities there is a problem in understanding the situation by people getting panic and they should not rush to the hospitals unnecessarily. (Maxim News)
