No Mass Copying At MS Degree College: OU

Hyderabad, Nov 30 (Maxim News) Osmania University has taken serious note of the reports circulating about alleged mass copying at MS Degree College. The University sought an explanation regarding a video that went viral in the media and on social media platforms, showing books falling from the second floor of a building.

Acting on the directions of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kumar Molugaram, the Director of the Academic Audit Cell, Prof. Kishan, has instructed the college management to submit a written clarification. Responding to this, the management of MS Degree College informed Osmania University that the viral video has no connection whatsoever with the ongoing examinations.

As per the explanation submitted, students from Telangana Social Welfare Residential Women’s Degree College, Chaitanyapuri, Saroor Nagar, appeared for the B.A. Economics, III Semester examinations on the 28th of this month, and the viral video has no relevance to these examinations. The management further stated that even the local police conducted an inquiry and found no evidence supporting the allegations.

The college clarified that there is a storeroom on the upper floor facing the road, and some records and books accidentally slipped and fell onto the road. At the same time, a few individuals on the road recorded the incident on their mobile phones and circulated it on social media with misleading claims of mass copying.

In an official statement, the Director of the Academic Audit Cell, Prof. Kishan, reiterated that Osmania University maintains strict standards in the conduct of examinations. He warned that stringent action will be taken against any affiliated college found guilty of negligence. (Maxim News)
