No Odd Size Bags For Haj Pilgrims

Hyderabad, May 2 (Maxim News): Telangana State Haj Committee Executive Officer B. Shafiullah has informed that the Haj Committee of India, Mumbai, upon information from Saudi Authorities, the Haj Committee shall emphasize standardized baggage in the aircraft during departure and arrival of Intending Haj Pilgrims for Haj-2022.

The Haj Pilgrims should not carry odd size baggages, cartoons, boxes etc. which will result in delay of flight at airport which leads to hurdles to transport the luggage and other operational challenges. In view of the above the Government has decided that Haj Committee of India should ensure that uniform standardized baggage is carried by all Intending Haj Pilgrims for Haj-2022.

The Haj Committee will be considering to procure and supply two suitcases (Check in Luggage) and one hand bag (Cabin Baggage) of standardized size to all Intending Haj Pilgrims of Haj-2022 as mentioned in Haj Guidelines of Haj-2022. The Haj Committee will initiate necessary approval from competent authority shortly. In lieu of the above, the Intending Haj Pilgrims are advised not to buy or Procure new luggages for their Haj Journey as the same shall be provided to them by the Haj Committee shortly as per Guidelines in accordance with previous practice.
