The DEO said there was no case of duplicate voter registration or dual enrolment involving the Chief Minister in Nagarkurnool district.

The officer said Revanth Reddy has no voter registration in the district. Therefore, no Enumeration Form was printed or distributed in his name during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise.

He also urged the public not to believe or circulate baseless rumours regarding the issue.

The controversy began after electoral roll data allegedly showed Revanth Reddy as a voter in the Kodangal Assembly constituency under the Mahabubnagar Parliamentary constituency. Another entry reportedly appeared in the Achampet Assembly constituency under the Nagarkurnool Parliamentary constituency. Both entries carried the same EPIC number, TES0274035.

The statement further claimed that the Chief Minister’s family informed election authorities that they wanted to retain his voter registration in Kodangal. They also requested the deletion of the alleged duplicate entry from the Kondareddypally electoral roll. (Maxim News)
