None will care about KCR in national politics: Assam CM

Hyderabad, Sept.9 (NSS): Assam Chief Minister Himantha Biswa Sarma today came down heavily against his Telangana counterpart K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) opining that the latter had lost the trust of the people of his State. He claimed that KCR was trying to get into national politics by undertaking tours of various States in the country as he had lost the trust of the people. He also observed none would care about KCR in national-level politics and added that the TRS would never become an alternative to the BJP at the national level.

Speaking to media persons here, Sarma said the country would never become a BJP-free country based on the call given by KCR. Claiming that the Telangana Chief Minister KCR has a lot of money, he mocked that they don’t have any objection if he floated a national party. Stating that all family-based political parties think of their family members, Sarma said the BJP does not encourage family-based politics.

Ridiculing the recent meeting between CM KCR and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Sarma said though all Opposition parties are against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, there was no need for KCR to unite the Opposition political parties. He predicted that the BJP would form the government in Telangana after the next Assembly elections.

Commenting on the Bharat Jodo Yatra of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Himantha Biswa Sarma mocked that Rahul should hold the Yatra in Pakistan as the country was divided by his ancestors and not on the roads of the country. (NSS)
