There is “nothing unusual” in the Tamil Nadu ministers meeting central ministers in Delhi, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said here today and dismissed contentions that the NDA was running a proxy Government in the southern state especially after the death of J Jayalalitha.”There is nothing unusual in state ministers meeting Central Government.
Even yesterday, some leaders met me and submitted a memorandum seeking financial assistance,” Mr Jaitley told reporters here.”States and the Centre are supposed to have a relationship,” Mr Jaitley said adding, as far as Tamil Nadu is concerned “we (BJP) don’t even have a single MLA in the Assembly. There is an elected Government in the state”.
