Operation Kagar Pushes Maoists Toward Surrender In Several States
Hyderabad: Operation Kagar created strong pressure on Maoist groups across Telangana, Chhattisgarh, and Andhra Pradesh.
Police said several Maoists died in recent encounters. They also said many others surrendered in the past weeks. Moreover, they noted a sharp rise in surrenders after the encounter involving senior Maoist leader Hidma.

Police in Alluri district reported a fresh surrender. Maoist member Muchaki Nanda appeared before the district SP.
He said he left the group due to fear and hardship. Officials said the surrender reflected the impact of Operation Kagar.
They added that pressure increased inside AOB areas. They also said Maoist shelters shifted after the Hidma’s encounter.
Operation Kagar Drives New Wave of Maoist Surrenders
