Operation Muskan: 73 kids rescued in Nizamabad
Nizamabad, Feb 5 (Maxim News): Under the Operation Muskan, Police, Child and Women Welfare Department officials rescued 73 children in Kamareddy district.
Of the 73 children, four were into begging, 37 children were found on the streets and 32 members were into child labour. Totally, officials rescued 13 girls and 60 boys.
Swetha Reddy, Superintendent of Police, Kamareddy, said that every year, the government conducts ‘Operation Muskan’ to rescue children below 18 years of age, either working as child labourers, begging or roaming on the streets and admit them to schools.
Police counselled the childrens’ parents and registered cases against six people who employed children. (Maxim News)
