Operation Sindoor Is A Golden Chapter In Fight Against Terrorism: President Murmu

Delhi/Hyderabad, Aug 29 (Maxim News): President Droupadi Murmu said that Operation Sindoor is a golden chapter in humanity’s fight against terrorism. President Droupadi Murmu appreciated the cooperation of public sector enterprises in building an indigenous air defence-reporting system. The air defence system played a key role in the military conflict between India and Pakistan.

Speaking at the SCOPE Eminence Awards ceremony, President Droupadi Murmu spoke about the role of public sector enterprises in achieving the goal of a developed India by 2047. The President said that public sector enterprises have performed well on key financial parameters like revenue and profit. He said that one-third of public sector enterprises are making profits and the net profit of public sector enterprises has increased significantly in the last decade.

Murmu said that public sector enterprises have set standards in the field of good governance and transparency. Reacting to the importance of the Make in India program, he said that public sector enterprises are playing an effective role in building a self-reliant India. Specially mentioning the country’s defense sector, he said that during Operation Sindoor, terrorist camps were completely destroyed. Attempts to attack India failed.

He said that the indigenous air defense system has demonstrated its capabilities. He said that public sector enterprises have contributed to the creation of this system. He said that this is a matter of great pride for them. The President emphasized that PSUs have played a major role in achieving self-reliance in national security through innovation and increasing technological expertise. PSUs have played a key role in many sectors like agriculture, mining, exploration, manufacturing, processing, and services. The President stated that women-led development is one of the national priorities of the government. (Maxim News)
