BRS leader Poorna Chandra Nayak, who was taken to the two-town police station, condemned the arrests, stating that “public agitations cannot be stopped with illegal arrests.” He alleged that the government had failed to supply urea to farmers and should step down.

He further accused Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of using the PC Ghosh Commission report on the Kaleshwaram project to target BRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao. He also alleged that the government was diverting Godavari waters to other areas through the Sitarama project instead of irrigating fields in Kothagudem district.

Calling upon Lambadi activists to protest at the Chief Minister’s public meeting, he expressed dissent against Bhadrachalam MLA Tellam Venkat Rao and former MP Soyam Bapu Rao. He urged the Congress high command to act against the two leaders for creating social conflicts by approaching the court to remove Lambadas from the Scheduled Tribes list. (Maxim News)
