Opposition To Ethanol Factory: Public Outrage, Vehicles Burnt
Jogulamba/Hyderabad, June 4 (Maxim News): Tension prevailed in Rajoli mandal of the district. People from 12 villages have called for a protest program today (Wednesday) against the proposed ethanol factory in Pedda Dhanwada.
Association leaders have supported this. In this regard, the public has made heavy security arrangements since morning. Tight security has been provided to prevent anyone from entering the vicinity of the ethanol company. In addition, those who were peacefully protesting were placed under house arrest and prevented from coming out of their houses. Due to this, the situation turned violent. People expressed their anger, asking how the police could make arrests when they were trying to protest peacefully.
People from several villages reached the site where the company was to be set up. They raised slogans against the company. They set fire to the container set up for the ethanol company. Several vehicles were also destroyed. The police, who were alerted immediately, tried to disperse the protesters. People raised slogans against the ethanol company on a large scale. (Maxim News)
