Hyderabad: Today, the hallowed halls of Tagore Auditorium resonated with the vibrant energy of youth as Osmania University launched its Inter-Collegiate Cultural Competitions 2024-25. This isn’t just an event; it’s a transformative experience, a critical stage in the journey of over 900 students from 188 colleges, who have converged to unleash their artistic prowess in Dance, Music, Theatre, Literary, and Fine Arts.

Prof. Kumar Molugaram, Vice-Chancellor of Osmania University, inaugurated the two-day extravaganza, delivering a powerful message that transcended mere competition. He illuminated the profound significance of these activities, not as mere extracurricular, but as essential laboratories for cultivating leadership, teamwork, and resilience – the very cornerstones of success in an increasingly complex world. “This is where future leaders are forged,”.

Prof. Molugaram declared, urging students to embrace the spirit of participation, where the journey itself holds immeasurable value, far surpassing the fleeting glory of prizes. He emphasized the vital role of arts in shaping well-rounded individuals, capable of navigating challenges and contributing meaningfully to society.

The events are to be held at Tagore Auditorium, Geophysics Auditorium and at University college of Technology.

The competitions, adjudicated by a panel of esteemed experts, the organizing committee included  Prof. B. Rajender Naik, Dean, Students’ Affairs, Prof. B. Lavanya, Dean, Development & UGC Affairs, Prof. S. Kavitha Devi and Prof. Lingappa, Youth Welfare Officers, OU, Advisory Committee members Prof. G. Prabhakar, Prof. E. Vidyasagar, Prof. B. Manjula, Prof. A. Patrick, Dr. N. Susheela and Dr. V. Samunnathi are not just contests; they are platforms for self-discovery, empowerment, and the celebration of human potential.
