Osmania University Senate Approves ₹815 Crore Budget for 2025-26

Hyderabad, March 30 (Maxim News): The Academic Senate of Osmania University has approved an annual budget of ₹815 crore for the fiscal year 2025-26. The university’s Senate meeting, held on Sunday, reviewed the financial outlook, estimating ₹772.54 crore in revenue against a projected expenditure of ₹815.69 crore, leading to a deficit of ₹43.15 crore.

The budget proposal was presented by Prof. Ch. Sailu from the University College of Technology and Prof. Sreeramulu from the Department of Business Management.

Key Financial Highlights

  • The Normal University Fund anticipates ₹772.54 crore in receipts with ₹815.69 crore in expenditures, resulting in a ₹43.15 crore deficit.
  • The Exam Fee Fund is expected to generate ₹313.52 crore, with ₹312.86 crore in expenditures, leaving a ₹0.66 crore surplus.
  • Self-financing courses are projected to bring in ₹64.90 crore, with an expenditure of ₹48.10 crore, contributing a ₹16.80 crore surplus.
