OU Celebrated “Telangana Vidya Dinotsavam – 2023 By Morning 2K Walk

Hyderabad, June 20 (Maxim News): Osmania University, A Day long program was earmarked as a part of, “Telangana Vidya Dinotsavam 2023”, under the banner of Telangana Dashabdi Utsavalu 2014-23 (Celebrating 10 glorious years of the formation of Telangana).

Today morning a 2K walk was organized from Arts College, and University College of Science & Engineering College respectively culminating at Tagore Auditorium. Principals, Directors, Deans, Faculty Members, Research Scholar, and Members of the Non-teaching – NGO’s, Technical, and Employees Union, Students from Campus and affiliated colleges participated in the walk-in in large numbers.

All the Campus & constituent colleges held academic events, Expert Talks & lectures, Elocution, and Essay Writing as a part of the Decennial Celebrations of the formation of the State of Telangana. A grand finale to the Telangana Vidya Dinotsavam 2023 was planned for the evening of 20th June 2023.

Today was another historic day in the annals of Osmania University. A Two Thousand seating capacity Amphitheatre/Open Air Theatre was inaugurated by Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, OU, Sr. Prof. D. Ravinder, Registrar OU, Prof. P. Laxminaryana & Dr. G. Nagaiah, Chairman, Siddhartha Group of Institutions.

It is to be recalled that the foundation stone for the starting of the project was laid on 31st December 2022, in a short span of six months a spacious amphitheater is added to the existing infrastructure at Osmania University.

On this occasion, Dr. G. Nagaiah conveyed that it was a gesture to repay back to the Alma mater which gave him everything in life. He expressed his deep sense of gratitude to the existing Administration under the leadership of VC, Prof. D. Ravinder for the opportunity provided to his Siddhartha Group of institutions and deemed it a dream come true project.

Prof. D. Ravinder expressed his happiness and lauded the gesture of the donors Dr. G. Nagaiah said that seeing is believing and never expected that the project will come out in such a grand manner and profusely thanked everyone associated with the Siddhartha Group of Institutions for their commitment and especially their chairman Dr. G. Nagaiah, for his generosity and taking up the project meticulously and finishing it within the promised duration.

Prof. P. Laxminarayana expressed his delight and conveyed that this event was a part of the 21-point agenda envisioned by VC and was delighted that another promise stands fulfilled with the amphitheater inaugurated today.

He too appreciated the benevolence and lasting contribution made by Dr. G. Nagaiah and his family members and deemed it a privilege to be a part of the inaugural program.

Dr. G. Nagaiah, his family members, Engineers, the site in charge, and the ones who have contributed to the amphitheater construction were felicitated by VC, OU, Sr. Prof. D. Ravinder, and Registrar, OU, Prof. P. Laxminarayana.

The first performance at the Amphitheatre was the performance of Pyramid formations by the students of Physical Education, under the guidance of Prof. V. Satyanarayana, Director, of the Department of Physical Education.

The participants were treated with a sumptuous breakfast by NAYA Millets, courtesy of Sri. Amar, Alum of OU, promoting the international Year of Millets2023 through his venture. (Maxim News)
