Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Owaisi said, “Terrorists killed innocent people after asking their religion in Pahalgam. We strongly condemn this incident. We hope that the government will teach a lesson to these terrorists. We are standing in solidarity with the affected families and pray that those injured get well soon.”

“This Is a Serious Intelligence Failure”: Owaisi

Owaisi emphasized that the government needs to re-evaluate its national security protocols and deterrence policy. “This is also an intelligence failure, and the Narendra Modi government should recheck its deterrence policy. This incident is more condemnable than Uri and Pulwama because these terrorists, who have come from the neighbouring country, have targeted civilians and tourists,” he said.

The Pahalgam attack, which occurred in a popular tourist destination in South Kashmir, has sent shockwaves across the country. Eyewitnesses report that armed militants stopped vehicles and selectively targeted civilians based on their religion before opening fire.

“Fix Accountability,” Owaisi Tells Centre

Owaisi further demanded that the central government fix accountability and ensure that such attacks do not happen again. “We demand the Modi government to fix accountability. This cannot become a recurring tragedy. Tourists and locals must be protected at all costs,” he added.
