The latest attack has led to a tense situation between the two countries. With 28 people killed in this attack, there is an argument that there is fear in Pakistan of a severe response from India. As part of this, several reports make it clear that Pakistan has ordered the immediate evacuation of terrorist training camps in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). In addition to issuing a high alert around the Line of Control (LoC), senior officials of Pakistan’s military and intelligence agencies are reportedly holding continuous meetings.

On the other hand, there is anger in India in the wake of the Pahalgam attack. Team India’s head coach and former BJP MP Gautam Gambhir expressed his condolences on this incident. I pray for the families of the deceased. Those responsible will pay the price for this. He revealed on his ex-account that India will attack. This statement made by Gautam Gambhir reflects India’s stance. This has created fear of surgical strikes in Pakistan.

Senior Pakistani army officials have reportedly given immediate instructions to evacuate all terrorist training camps near the LoC. Late last night, it is learnt, orders were issued to move the terrorists to nearby villages. Pakistan has resorted to these measures due to the possibility of India retaliation, ie. taking steps like surgical strikes or air strikes. It is being said in Pakistani circles that India’s past history shows that it does not delay in responding to terrorist attacks.

India has responded to Pakistan befittingly after similar incidents in the past. For example, after the Uri attack in 2016. After the Pulwama attack in 2019, India carried out surgical strikes as well as air strikes targeting terrorist camps in PoK. These actions not only caused huge losses to terrorist organizations, but also sent a clear message to Pakistan that India is taking a tough stance against terrorism.

In the current situation, India has tightened security arrangements after the Pahalgam attack. It has increased military operations along the LoC. Also, intelligence agencies have been keeping a watch on terrorist activities in PoK. The public’s anger is also evident on social media. Netizens are also demanding a surgical strike on social media platforms. Although the government has not yet officially announced any military action, there is an opinion in many quarters that India is working on a retaliatory strategy. (Maxim News)
