Hyderabad, April 14 (Maxim News): Mailardevpally Police arrested two persons for allegedly breaking into a pan shop and committing theft.
Police also recovered stolen property, tools, and a vehicle used in the offence. The case surfaced after complainant Sohail Pasha reported a break in at his pan shop. The shop is located near Tahnda Garam Hotel.
He found the lock broken on the morning of April 13. Subsequently, he noticed that several items were missing. Based on the complaint, police registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
Officers then launched an investigation and began collecting evidence. Meanwhile, they analysed technical inputs to trace the suspects.
Accused Tracked and Stolen Property Recovered
On April 14, police apprehended two accused in connection with the case. The accused were identified as Azhar Khan, a catering worker, and Shaik Feroz, an auto driver. Both are residents of Hyderabad.
During the operation, police seized stolen pan shop items from the accused. In addition, they recovered tools used to break the shop lock.
Furthermore, officers seized an auto rickshaw bearing registration number TS 13 UB 7757, which was used during the crime.
Officials said the team worked under the supervision of senior officers from the Rajendranagar Zone.
The investigation involved coordinated efforts by the station house officer and crime staff. Therefore, police were able to track and arrest the accused quickly.
Police produced both accused before the court for judicial remand. Meanwhile, further investigation is underway to verify if they were involved in similar offences, S Sreenivas, DCP Rajendernagar Zone said in a press note.
Sreenivas, DCP Rajendernagar Zone urged shop owners to install proper security systems. They also advised immediate reporting of suspicious activities to prevent such crimes. (Maxim News)
