Panchayat Elections In Telangana: Unanimous In 890 Village: SEC

Hyderabad, Dec 10 (Maxim News): State Election Commissioner Rani Kumudini said that all arrangements have been made for the polling to be held on Thursday regarding the Panchayat elections.

Speaking to the media, she said that the police are looking into the issue of security and law and order.  The counting will take place as soon as the polling is completed.  She said that the elections were unanimous in 395 villages in the first phase and 495 in the second phase. 

She explained that Rs. 8.2 crore has been seized in inspections so far.  The SEC said that 50 thousand civil police will be on duty and 60 platoons teams have come from outside.  (Maxim News)
