Pappu demands death penalty for corrupt politicians

A day after conference of Chief Ministers of naxalite affected states in New Delhi on measures to be taken to combat naxalism, Madhepura MP Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav today asserted that corrupt politicians were worse than naxalites and demanded death penalty for them through speedy trials within three months of institution of cases.

Mr Yadav, also chief of Jan Adhikar Party (JAP), told mediapersons here that naxalism was a serious problem but politicians involved in corrupt practices were posing more serious threat to the society and they deserved death penalty through speedy trial within three months of institution of cases against them.

The JAP chief, while elaborating how corrupt politicians were posing more threats to society than naxalites, said that naxal elements involved in violence had very limited effect on society in wellidentified and restricted zones of the country but corrupt politicians affected lives of crores of the people across the country.
