Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar has stressed the need for proper planning for developmental projects in the state.
Addressing the gathering after inaugurating the beautified and developed Kranti Maidan at Ponda in South Goa yesterday, Mr Parrikar cited a recent instance of lift failure at South Goa Collectorate wherein several people were stranded for hours.
”Without proper maintenance, things get deteriorated. After the incident we conducted review of Public Works Department (PWD) buildings and found that about 15 to 16 lifts are in bad condition. Some lifts are over 15 years old ”, he said.
