Hyderabad, Dec. 5 (Maxim News) : Vigilance Task Force raided Palvancha MLS Point in Bhupalpally district. They uncovered diversion of 300 quintals PDS rice worth Rs 17.22 lakh to black market. The incident occurred on December 2, 2025.
Authorities intercepted a motorcycle with fake truck chits. It carried a GPS tracker meant for the lorry TS 29 T 5139. This tricked surveillance systems effectively.
The lorry held 600 bags of 50 kg each. Driver A5 Anil Kumar stopped it near Nakiripeta on orders from A14 Narahari of Ramya Trader Rice Mills.
Contractor A1 N Srinivas’ assistant A2 Prasanth confessed to the plot.
MLS Point incharge A3 Satyavathi took Rs 20,000 per lorry. DEO A4 Krishna Kumar received Rs 10,000 per load. Prasanth got Rs 10,000 too, while fair price shop dealers earned Rs 25 per kg.
Dealers A6 to A13 pressured the scheme. They include N Rajaiah shop 3016027 and Ramesh Rathi shop 3016025. Hamali A15 Nagaraju aided at the point.
Fake records hid the diversion. Srinivas admitted that five lorry loads were diverted. He runs Nalgonda Rice Industries at Penpahad.
Police booked Cr No 456/2025 under BNS sections 3184, 3165 r/w 612 and EC Act Sec 7. Fifteen accused face cheating and breach of trust charges. The raid followed reliable information on December 4.
PDS rice supplies essential food to poor families. Such diversions cause shortages and economic loss. Task Force continues probes into supply chain frauds across Telangana. (Maxim News)
