Hyderabad, Sept.12 (Maxim News): The High Court dismissed a petition filed against the dissolution of Telangana Assembly before the completion of its tenure to felicitate early elections in the state.
An advocate Rapolu Bhaskar, a known for his leanings with the Congress, moved the High Court taking strong objection in dissolving the Assembly by contending that the move was not only unconstitutional and arbitrary but also involved uncalled expenditure for holding the elections before the tenure of the legislature.
The High Court wondered in what way the dissolution of the Assembly was unconstitutional and observed that it does not want to interfere in the legislative procedure. And hence the petition was dismissed. The court order has come as a reprieve to the TRS which has been moving forward with breakneck speed to hold the elections in the state along with four other states during November/December. At the same time the Opposition, especially the Congress, received a big set back as it was trying varous ways and means to create hurdles to the political moves of the TRS. (Maxim News)
