Hyderabad, Sept. 18: A petition has been filed in the Nampally court seeking restrictions on AICC Telangana affairs in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan’s proposed foreign travel.
The petitioner, A Srilatha, has sought seizure of Natarajan’s passport to prevent her from travelling abroad for higher studies.
Srilatha is described as the complainant in the case involving Congress leader Kambham Sivakumar Reddy. Reports said she approached the court citing ongoing criminal proceedings.
The petition has sought immediate restrictions on Natarajan’s foreign travel. The court’s decision on the plea is awaited.
Meenakshi Natarajan Faces Fresh Court Petition
According to reports, Srilatha has two criminal cases involving Natarajan and has sought passport restrictions in connection with the proceedings.
The latest petition comes after an earlier dispute involving Natarajan’s Rajya Sabha nomination from Madhya Pradesh.
Reports said her nomination was rejected after details related to the case were not disclosed in the election affidavit.
The latest plea has brought Natarajan’s proposed foreign travel under legal scrutiny.
