New Delhi, Sept. 18: A fresh bomb threat was reported at Balaram Public School in Mayur Vihar Phase 1, Delhi, on Friday.
According to Delhi Fire Service officials, information about a possible bomb was received around 8:40 am.
Police, fire personnel and other security teams reached the school after receiving the alert.
Security teams began thorough checks across classrooms, corridors and other parts of the school premises.
The latest alert comes days after several Delhi schools received bomb threat emails.
Delhi Schools Face Series of Bomb Threats
The British School, Army Public School, Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, Air Force Bal Bharati School and Carmel Convent School were among schools that received earlier threats.
Officials said some of the earlier emails were written in Punjabi and contained threats against schools, police stations and courts.
The messages also reportedly warned people against travelling on the Delhi Metro and trains until September 29.
Following the threats, Delhi Police deployed bomb detection and disposal squads and sniffer dog teams.
Fire services also sent teams to the affected locations as a precaution.
Security personnel conducted extensive searches of the threatened premises.
No explosive device or suspicious object was found during the earlier searches, officials said. The threats were subsequently treated as hoaxes.
Checks at Balaram Public School were underway following Friday’s alert.
Officials are expected to provide further details after completing the security inspection.
