Petrol and diesel prices today | The key auto fuel prices in India have not changed in over four months despite a spike in the global crude oil prices amid the fallout of the Russia- Ukraine conflict.

The Petrol and diesel prices today have surged after a four long months. The fuel prices at major cities in the country today are as follows. The petrol price in Delhi is at Rs. 96.21 per liter with a hike of 80 paise and diesel price at Rs. 87.47 with a hike of 80 paise. The petrol prices in Hyderabad remained at Rs. 108.20 per litre with a hike 90 paise and diesel price is at Rs. 95.50 per litre with a hike of 88 paise. The petrol price in Chennai per litre is at Rs. 102.16 with a hike of Rs.76 paise and the diesel is priced at Rs. 92.19 per litre with a hike of 76 paiss

The OMCs generally revise rates of petrol and diesel on a daily basis.

Petrol and diesel prices today In Mumbai, petrol currently costs Rs 109.98, while diesel is retailing at Rs 94.14, In Delhi petrol currently costs Rs 95.41 and diesel 86.67 as per Indian Oil Corporation’s website.

The retail fuel prices across cities were last revised on November 4, 2021, when central government cut the excise duty on petrol and diesel to bring down their retail rates from their record highs and had urged state governments to cut VAT on fuel. Thereafter, various states had reduced VAT on auto fuels.

The fuel prices mentioned below are due at 6 am and are subject to change at any time as the petroleum companies such as Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) will alter the fuel prices based on the crude oil prices.
