PM Modi Stressed For Speedy Justice In Cases Of Crimes Against Women

Delhi/Hyderabad, Aug 31 (Maxim News): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday emphasized the need for speedy justice in cases related to crimes against women. He said that speedy justice gives security to women.

A two-day Law Conference began in Delhi, Prime Minister Modi participated in this conference. Speaking on this occasion, Modi said that the judiciary is considered as the protector of the constitution and the Supreme Court and judiciary are acting responsibly. He said there is serious concern in the society about violence against women and safety of children.

There are many strict laws for the safety of women in the country. Modi said that the government has set up fast track courts in 2019.

Modi mentioned that the role of District Monitoring Committees is very important in the matter of fast track courts. The District Monitoring Committees will consist of District Judge, District Collector and District SP.

He said that the role of district committees in coordinating various aspects of the justice system is noteworthy. District Committees need to be active. Justice should be done as soon as possible in cases of rape of women. He said that along with the 75 year journey of the Supreme Court, everyone has faith in the Indian democracy and judicial system. He said that no one has ever spoken of disbelief on the Supreme Court or the judiciary. Modi said that the judicial system in our country stands as a safeguard for democracy.

Describing the imposition of emergency as a ‘dark‘ period, Modi said the judiciary played a vital role in protecting fundamental rights. He praised the judiciary for safeguarding national integrity by prioritizing national interests over matters of national security.  Special programs have been undertaken for the modernization of courts in the last ten years. 

Modi said that a very important discussion will take place in this two-day law conference.  He said that the will of the 1q40 crore people of the country is the same. That is Vikasit Bharat.  It is stated that the District Courts are very important to the Indian judicial system.  Modi said that four and a half crore cases are pending in the district courts.
