Hyderabad, Jan 11 (Maxim News): In a successful operation, Bowenpally Police have arrested an individual involved in a series of thefts targeting Air Conditioner (AC) outdoor units. The thief, identified as Nanabala Gopi, age 29 years, was apprehended following an extensive investigation into a case of theft reported at PS Bowenpally.

His modus operandi involved lurking during the night in his Maruti WagonR vehicle, stealing AC outdoor units wherever he found an opportunity. Further investigation led to the arrest of a receiver, who has been identified as a habitual buyer of these stolen AC units. The receiver had been purchasing stolen units from the accused and subsequently selling them in the market.
The accused arrested are Nanabala Gopi Age 29 yrs, Occ. Car driving, N/o Guntur Dist, A-2) Myathari Ananthamma W/o M. Narsimha, Age 40 yrs, Occ. Scrap shop, R/o Nanakramguda, Hyderabad, N/o Narayanapet- Dist, Property Recovered: 1. 07 AC compressor units, 2. 01 Maruti WagonR (the vehicle used for committing the thefts) 3. 2 Panna Tools (used in the thefts) all Worth Rs. 8,00,000/-.
