Hyderabad, Dec 11 (Maxim News): The Task Force (South-West) team police along with the local police arrested a four-member gang for allegedly procuring and selling Mephentermine Sulphate steroid injections which are used for bodybuilding in Asifnagar on Wednesday.

The injections were procured from Delhi by courier illegally without any valid prescription. Officials seized 217 injection vials, worth Rs. 3.1 lakh.
The arrested persons are Rashid Khan, a gym trainer from Hirra, and Mohd Aftab Hussain, a therapist from Tappachabutra, Mohd. Habeebuddin, a student from Mehdipatnam, and Mohd Rahmath, a technician from Tappachabutra.
According to the police, Rashid Khan is a native of Maharashtra, who relocated to Hyderabad with his family to earn a living. He worked as a gym trainer and personal trainer. Additionally, he was addicted to steroid injections and engaged in their illegal sale.

In 2022, Rashid Khan was arrested by Chandrayangutta police for selling Mephentermine Sulphate injection IP 30mg. Recently, he set up his gym. “Rk Gym.” in mehdipatnam. However, due to financial losses, he closed the gym within a few months. He was aware of the high demand for Mephentermine Sulphate injections in the market and planned to sell them at inflated rates.
Police said the suspect would order the injections online through various websites and receive it via courier. He would then distribute the injection to his friend, Mohd Aftab Hussain, to sell, offering him a good commission on the profits.
Further, Aftab Hussain, along with his associates Mohd Habeeb Uddin and Mohd Rahmath, would sell the injection at gyms, colleges, and local areas customers at exorbitant rates. Rashid was earlier involved in cases in Chandrayangutta and Abid Road police station.

Mephentermine Sulphate injection is in high demand in the market, particularly among youth seeking to rapidly increase muscle growth and treat low blood pressure.
However, the desire for instant results has led many young individuals to become addicted to these steroids, which can cause numerous health problems and diseases. (Maxim News)
