Police Notices To Prabhakar Rao’s House Phone Tapping Case Asking Appear In Court On June 20

Hyderabad, May 22 (Maxim News): The police have stepped up their aggressive approach in the phone tapping case that has created a stir in Telangana politics. As part of this, the police on Thursday (May 22) posted notices at the house of the main accused in the case, former SIB chief Prabhakar Rao, who is absconding. The Nampally court has ordered Prabhakar Rao to appear in court by June 20, 2025.

The police have stated in the notices pasted at Prabhakar Rao’s house in Hyderabad that if he does not appear, the nampally court will declare him an offender. After that the police will publicly announce Prabhakar Rao as an offender.

Meanwhile, the investigation is likely to come to a conclusion only if Prabhakar Rao, who is the main accused in the phone tapping case, appears for the investigations. With this, the police are making efforts to bring him to justice.

Meanwhile, the police have registered a case on allegations that the phones of several opposition leaders, celebrities, builders and businessmen were tapped during the BRS government. Along with the then former SIB Prabhakar Rao, Bhujanga Rao, thirupathanna and Praneeth Rao were included as accused in this case. Prabhakar Rao, who was AZI, fled abroad as soon as the phone tapping case was registered.

In this context, the police are making efforts to extradite him to India. In addition to having Prabhakar Rao’s passport cancelled, the CBI has approached Interpol and issued a red corner notice against him. It is reported that Prabhakar Rao, who is on the run, is currently hiding in the US with his son. The case is likely to be heard only when Prabhakar Rao comes to India. (Maxim News)
