Hyderabad, Feb.5 (Maxim News): Former PCC president Ponnala Laxmaiah today slammed prime minister narendra Modi for his comments that his predecessors at the Center would prepare budget only to face elections. He condemned the comments and said that they were very unfortunate.
Speaking to media persons in the city, he asked PM Modi whether the BJP would have come into power if the congress party led central government prepared the budget for the elections.
He alleged that Modi was trying to get votes on the basis of castes and religious and added that the budget was also prepared by the central government by keeping in view of its votes. Reminding the PM that he had promised ₹5 lakh crore package to Bihar state before the state elections, he asked the PM whether he had given the package to Bihar.
Making it clear that BJP is also part of the reorganisation of Andhra Pradesh state, he asked Modi if he had fulfilled all the promises made in the AP reorganisation Act-2014. He said that Modi had failed to keep his promise of ₹15 lakh to every citizen of the country and two crore jobs. He said that the statement made by Modi was insulting the 130 crore people of the country.
He said that Modi had announced sops worth ₹3.5 lakh crore to states like tami nadu , Asom, West Bengal and Kerala by keeping in view of the upcoming elections.
He made it clear that the congress party was responsible for turning the country into the third powerful economy of the world. (Maxim News)
