Ponnam Prabhakar challenged the BJP leaders to bring funds and development projects from the central government instead of making baseless comments. He specifically urged the BJP to take the initiative in constructing an eight-lane highway from Ramagundam to Hyderabad, a crucial infrastructure project for the state.

He accused the BJP and BRS of having a covert understanding, citing their joint efforts to defeat Congress in Telangana. He highlighted that in the recent MLC elections, the BJP refrained from fielding candidates in districts represented by KCR, Harish Rao, and KTR, raising suspicions about their political alliance.

The minister also questioned the contributions of Union Minister Kishan Reddy to Hyderabad during his tenure as Minister of Tourism and Archaeology. He pointed out the BJP’s continued neglect of Telangana’s development and asked why the BJP MPs have failed to push for key state projects at the national level.

Addressing the recent MLC election defeat, Prabhakar admitted that Congress lost by a narrow margin. However, he reassured party members that the setback would not impact their future political strategies. He also dismissed the BJP’s claims of securing a significant vote share, calling it an exaggeration and questioning their overconfidence.
