Ponnam Urges State Govt Not To Stop Rice Supply To Poor

Hyderabad, March 28 (Maxim News): TPCC working president Ponnam Prabhakar said State government to not stop supply of free rice to poor people in State. He told the authorities that the poor people were waiting for the supply of rice. He also said the decision of the State government to not supply the rice till the quota of the Central Government is finalized was not proper.

In a statement here today, Ponnam said the Chief Minister had announced that they would supply 12 kg rice to the poor during the Lockdown period and added that a State minister had even launched the initiative at Karimnagar by supplying the rice to the poor people in the town. He, however, alleged that the State government had suspended the supply of the rice following the announcement of the Centre that it would also give rice to the poor. He urged the State government that the poor people were anxiously waiting for the supply of the rice. (Maxim News)
