Milk Supply To Be Increased To Help People: Talasani

Hyderabad, March 28 (Maxim News): Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav said milk supply will be increased to cater to needs of people in wake of corona virus and panic buying by people. Timings will be increased as milk production companies seek time till evening hours, he added.

At a review on decreasing quantity of milk, the minister said the police officials will be asked to increase supply timings as sought by milk providing companies. Right now, 68 lakh liters of milk products’ supply came down to 64 lakh liters, he said. Asking for dress code and identity cards for milk vendors, he said that milk supply came down to 30 lakh liters to 27 lakh liters as milk producers were not coming forward. Severe action will be taken under PD Act if norms were violated. He also asked the officials to keep ready and supply fodder for cattle.

The minister said the State government was taking all measures to supply milk, groceries and essential commodities to people, he said. “As corona cases were increasing, we are taking adequate measures to provide better arrangements in the hospitals. Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was keen on providing all facilities to people to fight corona cases. (Maxim News)
