Wife Murder Accused Found Dead Near Grave
The deceased, identified as M. Babu, had been absconding since February after he was accused of killing his wife, Amrutha (30).
According to local residents, Babu’s body was found hanging from a tree beside Amrutha’s burial site. Villagers noticed the body and immediately informed the police.
Police said Amrutha was allegedly hacked to death at their residence in Nomula village on February 24. Investigators alleged that Babu, who was reportedly under the influence of alcohol at the time, attacked her with an axe.
Following the incident, the police registered a murder case and launched a search operation, but the accused had remained absconding for several months.
Police have registered a case and are investigating the circumstances surrounding Babu’s death. The exact cause of death will be confirmed after the completion of the investigation and postmortem examination.
