Pope Francis Passes Away: Tragedy The Day After Easter

Hyderabad, April 21 (Maxim News): Pope Francis, the head of the world’s Christian community and president of the Vatican City, has died. He was 88 years old. The Vatican announced that he passed away on the morning of April 21, 2025, at his residence in Vatican City.

Pope Francis has been ill for some time. He is suffering from double pneumonia. The day before Easter, the Pope returned home from the hospital in Frauenkirche. Within 24 hours of his arrival home, he passed away, announced Vatican Camerlengo Cardinal Kevin Farrell.

Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Jorge Mario Bergoglio began his life as a Catholic priest. Pope Francis is the first Latin American to be elected pope. He assumed the papacy in 2013 as the head of the Catholic Church in Vatican City. During his life as Pope, he focused on social justice and justice for the poor.
