Postal ballot polling process should be conducted with utmost care: District Election Officer

Hyderabad, May 02: District Election Officer, GHMC Commissioner Ronald Rose has advised the concerned officials to conduct postal ballot polling duties with vigilance.

In the background of the postal ballot polling which will start from the 3rd of this month, on Thursday in the meeting hall of the GHMC headquarters, training classes were organized and made aware on the issues related to pre-arrangements, aspects related to the postal ballot process, precautions to be taken, etc. at the voter facilitation center.

On this occasion, DEO Ronald Rose said… regarding the postal ballot, the respective officials should conduct polling very carefully. There should not be any room for mistakes. The postal ballot process has been explained in detail. It is advised to check the ID card of the voters who came to vote once again. They want to check the voter list and send it. They want to make the necessary arrangements for polling in the Voter Facilitation Center smoothly. Candidates should not campaign at voter facilitation centers. It has been clarified that voters’ mobile phones are not allowed inside the polling center.

Hyderabad District Collector and Returning Officer Anudeep Durishetti said that all arrangements have been made in the Voter Facilitation Center to avoid any inconvenience to the voters and the staff, and the polling management staff should perform their duties with full understanding. It is suggested that the remaining ballot papers should be seized by the concerned ARO. He said that CCTV cameras are being installed in every room, secrecy should be maintained regarding the voting process and there should be no camera towards the voting compartment. Help desks are being set up at every voter facilitation center, he said. Voters should be careful not to put their postal ballot in the box. It is suggested that the voters should be educated to vote properly so that no mistakes are made in voting. The postal ballot polling process will continue from 3rd to 8th of this month.
