Power Review: Revanth Slams Rs. 85,000 Cr Loss, CMD Skips Meeting

Revanth | Hyderabad, Dec 8 (Maxim News): D. Prabhakar Rao, Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of TSTRANSCO and TSGENCO which is suffering a loss of over Rs. 85 thousand crores was absent to the Chief Minister Revanth Reddy review meeting on Power Department held at Secretariat here on Friday.

It may be recalled that Prabhakar Rao has given the resignation from the post of CMD of Transco and Genco on the day the results of elections were declared and the Congress party got the majority, whether his resignation is accepted or not is still pending.

Revanth Power Review

The Chief Minister ordered him to attend the review meeting even if he resigns. Although invited by CM Revanth himself, CMD prabhakar Rao did not attend the meeting.

It is known that the CM was serious about the power department yesterday (Thursday), officials said that there was a loss of Rs. 85 thousand crores in the power department. The CM issued orders to the officials to bring CMD Prabhakar Rao to review.

However, CMD, Prabhakar Rao’s absence from today’s special review of the power department has become a topic of discussion.

CMD denies of any Information from CMO:

Devulapalli Prabhakar Rao said that no one from Telangana Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) contacted him.

It is known that recently he resigned from the post of CMD of Transco and Genco. On Thursday, CM Revanth Reddy ordered the officials to prepare with full details for the review of the power department.

On this occasion, the CM said that Prabhakar Rao’s resignation should not be accepted. He was also ordered to be called for a review meeting. In this context, Prabhakar Rao responded and said that he did not have any information from the CMO. (Maxim News)
