Praja Palana Dinotsavam Celebrations At GHMC Headquarters

Hyderabad, Sept 17 (Maxim News): Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi along with Commissioner Amrapali Kata unfurled the national flag and offered a salute at the GHMC headquarters on Tuesday on the occasion of Praja Palana Dinotsavam. On this occasion, the Mayor and Commissioner received the police salute.

Mayor Vijayalaxmi’s Address

Speaking on this occasion, the Mayor said that September 17 was the day when the people of Telangana, who had been waiting for freedom every year since the Independence of India, were freed from royal rule. She said that Telangana State has become an ideal in the country in the self-governance of the people, and in the context of implementing development and welfare schemes and drawing up plans to contribute to economic development and bringing government schemes closer to the people, Telangana State has become an ideal in the country.

She said that people have been allowed to apply for the implementation of 6 guarantees in the public administration program, and those applications have been scrutinized and the eligible families have been given the eligibility to get the benefits of the government. She said that along with LPG cooking gas at Rs. 500, up to 200 units have been provided free of cost to the poor people and free transportation bus facility has been provided to women across the state. The mayor said that Revanth Reddy is the only Chief Minister who has stood as an elder brother to women and students.

She said that on the occasion of public administration, GHMC was organized from 28th December 2023 to 6th January 2024, and on the occasion, 4 counters were set up in one ward, in which special counters were set up for women with disabilities and applications were received for the implementation of schemes that would benefit the people.

Steps Taken To Benefit People

She said that 600 counters have been set up in 150 wards, 10,000 staff and volunteers have been used and every application received at the counter has been computerized circle-wise. She said that 24,74,325 applications have been received from 26,48,521 families in the Public Administration, out of which 19,01,256 applications have been received under the Public Administration, service centers have been set up in ward offices in 30 circles for amendment in the applications and steps have been taken to benefit those who are eligible.

The Mayor asked that the government elected by the people for the governance of the people take steps to solve the problem with the responsibility of the officials by holding a public hearing every Monday except public holidays in every district., The mayor asked that the people’s cooperation should always be there for the people’s government.
