Hyderabad, Sept.16 (Maxim News): Minister KT Rama Rao today reacted on the gruesome honour killing of Pranay in Miryalaguda.
In a twitter, he expressed grief and anguish at the day time murder. KT Rama Rao said that the incident dismayed and anguished on how deep rooted casteism still is. ‘The murder has shocked me and those involved in it will be punished and justice will prevail. The perpetrators of the heinous crime will be punished’, he said. He extended sympathies and condolences to Pranay’s wife Amrutha and his parents.
The police have arrested Amrutha’s father Maruthi Rao, his brother Shravan Kumar and Miryalaguda town congress president Karim and two others for the honour killing. Search is on for the murderer who is at large.
Maruthi Rao reportedly agreed to give Rs 10 lakh to a person to kill Pranay. It may be said here that Amrutha who is five months pregnant, grieved at the leaders who came to console her at a hospital, including Gutha Sukhender Reddy and others.(Maxim News)
