President Murmu to Visit Kerala From Oct 21 To 24

  • President Droupadi Murmu’s Kerala tour to include Sabarimala visit and key inaugurations

The President of India Droupadi Murmu, will visit Kerala from October 21 to 24, 2025. The four-day visit will cover religious, cultural, and educational events across several districts. The President is scheduled to arrive in Thiruvananthapuram on the evening of October 21, marking the beginning of her official engagement in the state.

On October 22, the President will perform Darshan and Aarti at the Sabarimala Temple, one of the most revered pilgrimage sites in Kerala. Her visit to the temple comes ahead of the annual pilgrimage season and reflects the temple’s importance in the state’s spiritual heritage. Security arrangements and preparations are expected to be in place to ensure the smooth conduct of her visit.

The following day, October 23, will see a series of significant events in Thiruvananthapuram and Varkala. The President will first unveil the bust of former President of India, Shri K.R. Narayanan, at Raj Bhavan, Thiruvananthapuram, commemorating his life and contributions. Later in the day, she will inaugurate the observance of the Mahasamadhi Centenary of Sree Narayana Guru at Sivagiri Mutt, Varkala. The occasion holds special significance as it marks 100 years since the spiritual leader’s Mahasamadhi. In the evening, she will attend the valedictory function of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations of St. Thomas College, Palai.

On the final day of her visit, October 24, President Murmu will participate in the centenary celebrations of St. Teresa’s College, Ernakulam. Her attendance is expected to highlight the college’s contribution to women’s education in the state. The visit underscores the President’s continuing engagement with institutions that shape India’s educational and spiritual ethos.
