President Murmu To Visit West Bengal And Jharkhand Today And Tomorrow
New Delhi: President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu, will embark on a three-day official visit to West Bengal and Jharkhand from July 30 to August 1, 2025, during which she will participate in significant academic ceremonies across both states.
As part of her visit, the President will attend the first convocation ceremony of AIIMS Kalyani on July 30 in West Bengal, marking a milestone in the journey of the premier medical institution. The event is expected to witness the presence of top dignitaries, academic leaders, faculty, students, and medical professionals.
Continuing her commitment to encouraging excellence in higher education and healthcare, on July 31, President Murmu will grace the first convocation ceremony of AIIMS Deoghar in Jharkhand. Her presence at both AIIMS campuses underscores the central government’s emphasis on strengthening advanced medical education and infrastructure in eastern India.
On August 1, the President will participate in the 45th convocation ceremony of IIT (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad, one of India’s oldest and most prestigious institutions in the field of mining and engineering. The event will celebrate the achievements of students and highlight the institution’s contributions to India’s industrial and technological sectors.
